Mission Statement

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organisation with 1.3 million members in approximately 45,000 clubs in 205 countries.

Lions are men and women who volunteer their time for humanitarian causes. Founded in 1917 by Melvin Jones, our motto is "We Serve".

Woolmer Forest Lions covers the Bordon, Liphook and Liss areas. Currently there are circa 21 members, across all walks of life. We are always keen to increase the club membership, and we encourage people who are keen to support the community to come along to our meetings and find out first hand what we do. If people want to help us but feel unable to join as a full time member, but want to help occasionally, then they can become a Friend of Lions and support us when they can.

The major events we participate in are the Apple Tasting Event at Blackmoor, every October, where we manage the car parking and main entrance foot crossing. This is our main fund raising event in the club's calendar. We also run the highly popular Easter Egg Raffle Draw.

The club is delighted to bring some festive good cheer with our Santa Sleigh Collections, in a number of locations within the area, with our fantastic sleigh.

We support the local community with a number of crucial Lions projects such as Message in a Bottle, Spectrek, and car parking supporting a number of local good causes. We also try to support members of the community who need help, with furniture as well as funding, when we can. Generally, speaking the money we raise locally, thanks to the support of the community, we spend locally.
